How To Guide

WARNING: Balloons are not toys and pose a choking hazard to children. Children should not be around balloons (inflated or deflated) without adult supervision. PLEASE NOTE: Balloons are Balloons therefore in nature they are fragile. We use the highest quality latex balloon available, however please use great care when inflating. If you are concerned please order extra balloons for your event if you are concerned about popping. We do not offer refunds on balloons.

Balloon Bouquet

Use a ruler or tape measure to measure the width as you inflate to avoid overfilling and popping the balloon. Inflate balloons on the day of your party with air or helium, 1-2 hours before your party starts for best results. Helium is our preferred way so the balloons float up, slightly under-fill to allow the helium to expand and avoid popping. Attach to string and weights.
Latex balloons filled with helium typically float for only 6 to 12 hours. See the helium filling guideline chart here The gas escapes through small pores in the latex. Treated with a product called Hi-Float  – a glue like gel that makes the latex less porous and helps lock the helium in, they will last for over a week. If using in our metallic confetti balloons, remove the confetti first, fill with Hi-Float first and rub. Can't be used with tissue paper confetti as it wets the paper.
Helium gas is sensitive to extreme temperature changes. This means that:
Helium balloons might appear deflated in cold air – to resolve the problem, simply put your balloon somewhere warm and it will expand again
You need to remember to keep your balloon away from extreme heat however, as this could cause the helium to expand and the balloon to burst. Don't overfill to allow expansion in different temperatures. Under fill balloons slightly to allow for helium expansion in different temps.

Confetti Balloons

If filling the balloon with helium fill a small amount with air, then rub the balloon with your hand or head to make the confetti stick, then fill the rest with helium. For air fill, just fill up the balloon then rub the balloon with your hand or head to make the confetti stick.

Gender Reveal Balloons

We recommend using helium so it floats upright. Tie balloon to string and a weight. When it is time to pop the balloon with a pin, the confetti flutters down, and looks amazing in photographs. So pretty! Make sure cameras are ready.

Balloon Garland

Fill each balloon using a hand or electric air pump, be careful not to overfill balloons as they can easily pop. Use a ruler as a guide. Slip the knot of each balloon through the holes in the tape for a secure fit. String can also be used to tie on balloons to the strip. Position balloons until you get your desired look. The balloon decorating strip may be taped, tied, tacked or stapled to your decorating surface. To wrap a pole, simply use one side of the strip. Miss holes if it is too tight. To make an arch, use every hole on both sides. Skip a hole if the balloons are too tight. Tape can be reused for other parties so keep it stored safe. More  Handy YouTube Tutorials: Take a look here.
We like to use removable hooks for hanging that can be purchased from the supermarket. Take a look here.

Foil Balloons

If using our shape foils, orbz and large number balloons we recommend using helium so they float up. Attach balloon to ribbon/string and a balloon weight. Some smaller foils only take air as they are too small to float with helium. Check item description or pack for details. Insert pump nozzle into the valve, the pressure from the pump will automatically open the valve as you inflate it. Be careful not to overfill as it will pop, so go slowly at the end of filling. When filling our orbz sphere balloons it is normal when inflating to hear a popping sound as the balloon expands it’s panels to form a round ball. Most foil balloons are self sealing, so just remove the nozzle/straw from the balloon and press the valve flat to seal. We like to put sticky tape over the valve to do a extra seal or use a heat sealer. Foil balloons last for weeks if sealed properly and are refillable.

Balloon Storage

Latex balloons generally have a shelf life of up to 1 year. The best way is to store your balloons in a dry air tight container or zip-lock storage bag. Keep them in a cool, dry place out of the sun light. A cool drawer or basement.
